Sandalwood

Sandalwood is valued for a rounded woody fragrance with creamy, warm, dry, or gently spicy nuances. Origin and botanical species matter: Mysore sandalwood is generally associated with Santalum album, while Australian material may come from other species within the Santalum genus. Tree age, proportion of heartwood, maturation, and extraction method create noticeable differences between batches. The collection makes it possible to compare sandalwood in sticks, powders, and essential oils, including fresh and aged materials. Sticks provide a steady home ritual, powder requires careful measuring and heat control, and oil presents the material in concentrated form. Sandalwood can also soften and connect more forceful notes within layered aromatic compositions.
