Made on a small Hainan farm where agarwood trees grow in conditions close to their natural environment, these Grade AA sticks contain 90% Hainan agarwood and 10% natural binding powder. The batch was produced on 4 April 2018.
Their layered aroma combines cool resinous wood with floral nuances, gentle vanilla and a balsamic background. Chun Lou refers to agarwood formed after natural insect damage, giving the material a character closer to naturally resinous wood than conventionally induced plantation oud. The clear, approachable profile suits both a first encounter with natural agarwood and experienced incense practice.
Place one stick in a stable, heat-resistant incense holder, light the tip and gently extinguish the flame so the stick smoulders. Burn only in a ventilated space, never leave unattended, and keep away from children, pets and flammable materials.
