This rare incense was produced from the aromatic wood of a single wild thuja tree harvested in the Taihang Mountains in 2018. Keeping the material from one tree intact preserves its individual aromatic signature rather than blending it into a broader, more uniform batch. The result is a distinctive single-tree expression of Chinese Ya Bai.
The familiar Taihangshan profile opens with clean mountain freshness and a restrained minty-camphor nuance over deep wood. It then becomes notably more complex: abundant floral facets rise through warm honeyed sweetness, while a pronounced creamy character gives the centre softness and volume. A noble woody base supports the composition without overwhelming its lighter details, allowing flowers, honey and cream to remain perceptible throughout the burn.
Place one stick in a stable, heat-resistant incense holder, light the tip and gently extinguish the flame so it smoulders. Burn only in a ventilated space, never leave unattended, and keep away from children, pets and flammable materials.
